CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV)- Charlotte Mecklenburg Police detectives say they are investigating an apparent sexual abuse case involving children.
CMPD detectives spent most of Tuesday interviewing possible suspects and others involved. Police are not releasing any names, but can confirm it involves two children in a West Charlotte apartment complex.
Authorities were called to Little Rock Apartments on West Boulevard Tuesday morning to investigate. Neighbors say the allegations are upsetting.
"It's really hurting me," said neighbor Yolanda Fee.
Fee lives in the complex where police say two juveniles were sexually assaulted.
"I'm kind of scared to let my boys outside right now. There's no telling what they'll do to my babies," she said.
A spokeswoman with CMPD would not confirm the apartment number where the alleged abuse took place. CMPD says the investigation is active, and will release further information, including possible arrests, as it becomes available.
If you have any information, you can call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
