One person shot in west Charlotte, police say
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - At least one person was shot Thursday morning at a west Charlotte apartment complex.
Police responded to the 4400 block of Wildwood Avenue in reference to a shooting just before noon.
According to officers at the scene, a person was shot at least once in the groin by an unknown shooter. Witnesses at the scene are apparently not cooperating with officers, police told WBTV.
Mecklenburg EMS said they were treating one patient with a gunshot wound.
The person shot had life threatening injuries and was taken to Carolinas Medical Center. Officers say the injuries appear to be minor.
