CHARLOTTE - A Charlotte Area Transit bus was hit by several eggs and a few rocks from a passing vehicle Monday night, a report filed with police said.
The incident happened in the 400 block of State Street around 10:53 p.m.
According to a Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department report, the bus driver said a vehicle driving in the opposite direction was about to pass the buss when "several eggs and at least two rocks" were thrown out of the vehicle and hit the windshield of the bus.
The rocks cracked the windshield and the "eggs made a mess," police said.
Police said the incident caused about $500 in damage to the bus.
No one on the bus was hurt, the report says, and no suspects have been named.
